An Interview with Laurel:
What is your professional and/or personal ambition?
To have an impact on those individuals I touch throughout my personal and professional life. I want them to leave with something that makes them stronger, more successful, or inspired.
If you could have dinner with any three people in the world, dead or alive, who would they be and why?
I'd choose my mother and her sister because they are the best individuals I've ever known and would love nothing more than to see them both again. I'd choose my mother's mom because I always remember all the great stories she told me about her and I never got to know her.
What is your proudest accomplishment?
Completing my college education while pursuing a career
Who is your role model?
My mother would be my number one role model. She taught me to be independent, strong, and ambitious and to never give up...the sky's the limit!
My teammates would describe me as...
A dork and a klutz.
Biggest pet peeve?
Lying

Assistant teaching at a dance studio in Longmont.

My dog Shilo is a Yorkshire Terrier (Yorkie) who has been a part of my life for the last 13 years since I fell in love with her at first sight.
Favorite food? Starbucks
Favorite part about being an Icicle?
Being a part of the Northern Colorado community and giving back to that community throughout the year.
Favorite Icicle memory?
For me it would be the victory over Sioux Falls in 2008. The Storm has been so successful over the years and to come in and beat them was awesome. It was by far the best and loudest crowd I've seen.
What always brings a smile to your face?
Sharing memories and stories about my mother.

Golf (not great at it), snowboarding (started last year; fun to watch for a laugh), cooking (mostly Italian), being with family and friends, entertaining, and of course dancing!

Starting a family with my soon-to- be- husband.
